Any West Kootenay beekeepers that want to have any equipment irradiated at Sterigenics (used to be Iotron) in Coquitlam, need to have their boxes wrapped, labelled, with accompanying paperwork to my place by coming weekend (7 Feb 2021). Jeff and Amanda will be coming through next week to take the load to the coast. Picture below shows how to wrap your boxes. Thick, plastic garbage bag is good. Does not have to be clear plastic. Arrows indicate the positions of taping around the ends of the box. Use strong tape like duct tape around both ends to keep the frames positioned since the box will be zapped twice, once upright and then again upside down. Put your name and phone number somewhere visible on the side of each box. Remember that the frames should be empty of honey. Honey absorbs the electron beam and makes the treatment ineffective, hence wasting your money. In fact we will not send down any boxes that contain too much honey. Send me a message and I will forward to you the “pdf” paperwork required to go with your order.

Can we also irradiate the idiots that don’t follow COVID protocols??? 😉 Hope you guys are doing well and staying safe.
Steve

Probably 30 deeps off the top of my head at least.
Well versed in the wrapping bit…
Thanks
