For those of you that attended our last meeting at Selkirk College Library on November 5, you may remember that we decided to put off the candle making event until next year because I thought that we weren’t ready and organized this year. Well…….that same weekend Paul Taylor was in Vancouver and went shopping at Wicks and Wax, the candle making store in Burnaby and he brought home a bunch of stuff. So he has convinced me that we should try and do the candle making after all. So we will give it a go at Paul’s place, 987 Bridgeview Road, in Lower Ootischenia, on Sunday, December 3 at the usual time, 13:00. Since this will be our first time, please be prepared for some hick-ups and glitches. We will try to make it a fun event but will probably learn a bunch of improvement ideas for next year. So if you decide to attend, bring warm clothing, some Christmas snacks to share, a blower type hair dryer for rolling foundation candles, and maybe a good helping of patience. We will charge a materials covering fee depending on how many candles you take home with you and how big they are.
If I think of anything else between now and Dec 3, I will post here so please click on the blue “Follow West Kootenay Beekeepers” button below left if you have not done so already.
Of course, 🙂
Hi Axel. This is good news. May we bring spouses / significant others? Malcolm
