Got the following e-mail from Paul van Westendorp today. Please take a few minutes to fill it in. It is totally anonymous but will greatly help in producing the national picture as how our bees are doing.
“Dear BC Beekeeper,
The Apiculture Program is carrying out its annual Spring Survey again.
Please click the direct link to the on-line form; https://forms.gov.bc.ca/industry/spring-survey
The purpose of the spring survey is to assess the condition and operating circumstances of the BC beekeeping community. The findings will be posted on the government website and the BCHPA website. The information will also be shared with other provinces and contribute to the national survey that may identify the principal causes responsible for colony losses.
I urge you to take 5 minutes to fill out the form and submit your data. The information will be compiled by region and province.
As we have always done, the data you submit is completely anonymous and after it has been entered for compilation, your data will be deleted.
Please submit your information by May 26.
For any questions or concerns, please contact me directly.
