BCHPA – AGM

The Annual General Meeting of the BC Honey Producers Association will be held this year in Courtenay on the island. It is a four day event this year. Thursday 15 October will have an all day course and qualification exam for instructors of beginning beekeeping followed by the traditional wine and cheese social get-together. Friday 16 October is the usual business day including executive elections followed by the banquet including fund raising auctions and entertainment. The most interesting part for most beekeepers is the education day with quest speakers. Many members only come for the education day since it is always a great learning experience. This year this has been expanded to two days on Saturday and Sunday, 17/18 October. Running concurrently will be the trade show of bee equipment suppliers, which is also very interesting and highly informative.
