Selkirk College has again asked me to offer beginners beekeeping courses. The Castlegar course will run again as it did last year with 2 introductory classroom sessions and then an ongoing series of 6 field days with Nette Lack at Mad Dog Farm in Tarrys. The 2 courses in Grand Forks and Nakusp did not run last year due to insufficient enrollment. We will offer them again this year to see if enough people are interested. They will run on 2 consecutive days on a weekend (Sat/Sun) with a single field day following a week or so later. If these people choose to continue after that, they could then join the ongoing monthly field days at Mad Dog Farm. The first 3 sessions of all 3 courses will essentially be identical. Only the Castlegar field days will then carry on to more extensive topics.
